*This event was previously scheduled for Aug 6th. It has been rescheduled to Aug 13th due to weather*
What is Eros and how does it show up for us in our daily lives? What is the sensual dialogue between ourselves and the rest of the world, and how do we embody these experiences?
While we often relate to eroticism as something sexual, there are no hard lines dividing sensuality from daily life. Being engaged with the senses is the prerequisite to erotic freedom and connection.
Join earth educator and hobby-herbalist, Kat Gibson and Somatic Sex Educator, Monica Kovacs in an evening of sensual exploration in the garden. In this workshop, we will be examining how we relate to the world of sensory experience, how we embody desire, and how we connect with both the human and non-human world.
Participants will experience the aliveness of the summer garden, while being guided through experiential meditations that explore intention, sensory input, and presence.
Over the course of the evening, you'll be guided through:
the hand-heart connection - practicing conscious giving and receiving with nature
tuning in to the inherent sensuality of the hands
exploring the 5 senses in nature
examining consent, both with humans and the greater-than-human world
conscious connecting with plants in the garden
creating plant bath ritual with intention setting
All participants will take home a bundle of herbs and flowers to create a ritual (foot) bath with and an herbal body oil to awaken the senses with.
